“Touching Stars” by Emilie Richards is a very long book. It’s also a very good book. I couldn’t put it down. I recognized characters in this book from another book, “Prospect Street”, by Emilie I read and reviewed here.
This is a complicated story of a family torn apart 12 years before by divorce and brought together again because Eric, the ex-husband, has suffered at the hands of Middle East terrorists and needs time to heal. He returns to the only home he’s ever felt comfortable in and the last home he fled. He is welcomed back by his ex-wife Gayle and although his 3 sons aren’t quite sure they all begin a process of resolving the issues of the past to be able to move forward into the future without a lot of emotional baggage.
I enjoyed being invited into their home as each of the characters grew and matured and chose the roads they would take into the future.
This was a really good book. I’m looking forward to reading more.
I find them in the library, I find them in my house, I scour yard sales and haunt book stores and wear my fingers out on Amazon looking for them, push one button and they appear on my Kindle, but always, the dearest thing I love to do is read books. Here I write about them.
