"Finding The Deep River Within" by Abby Seixas

"Finding the Deep River Within" by Abby Seixas
2006 Jossey-Bass
ISBN-13: 978-0-7879-8097-9

Finding the Deep River Within” by Abby Seixas is written primarily with women in mind, this book can benefit everyone. Sometimes we get so caught up in what we do for a living, the things we do at home for our families, our recreation and our hobbies that we constantly feel we are living in a panic. Life is so fast, events happen in our world so quickly that it seems we’ve got absolutely no control over anything.

This book will help you to take control of your life. It shows you how to slow down and to dip down below the surface of conscious living to move into the deep river of spiritual and self nourishment. It shows you that even though you have obligations and tons of responsibilities you can still take time for yourself.

Face it, when you die you’ll have the opportunity to say, “This is what I did”. Now, while you are living deliberately choose what you want to say about how you lived your life.

Thank you for this lovely review...it came to my attention via a "Google Alert." I was in the Bay area in March on a book tour--is that how you found out about my book? I'm glad you found it useful--and thanks again for spreading the word!
Wishing you great peace of the Deep River,
Abby Seixas
p.s. I'll be back in California in July--am doing a talk at EastWest Bookstore in Mountain View on July 16, in case you're in the neighborhood! AS

Abby, how neat that you saw and liked this review! Actually, I did not know that you were here in California on tour.

I picked your book out randomly (that never really happens!) in the library and the real clincher for me was when the guides started hollering, "Get it! Get it! Get it!" So, that's how I came to check out your book to read.

Thanks so very much for the help. I sure can use it. It's funny, but one of the guides just said to me in regards to how I told the story of us in the library and how they prompted me to check out your book..."Isn't there a more graceful way to say that? Holler indeed." Well, they were loud.

Thanks again.
